Book review - Tells (Elwood); PLO (Hwang)

1. Reading Poker Tells by Zachary Elwood - awesome book, one of the top 5 books in terms of making me actual dollars that I've read. I've made hundreds from this book, and am looking forward to making thousands. Not every player displays every tell in the book every hand; but it often helps me pick up a pot or 2 a session, or save a big bet per session. And if you get lucky, one or 2 players might be locks with certain tells, especially on a Saturday night. Must read.

2. PLO Poker the Big Play Strategy by Jeff Hwang - I just started reading this last night; I've done a cursory read and bounce around, and it certainly looks like it covers everything about PLO for hi, with followups on PLO hi/lo, and limit Omaha hi/lo. I wanted to have one good PLO book in the house in case it every takes over on the east coast, and this one looks like it covers everything. I can't imagine it's missing anything for anyone starting out in Omaha land anyway. I'll follow up when I'm done reading it but so far its very comprehensive.

While reading through Reading Poker Tells, I realized how many of these things I do. Ugh, I'm so readable against people who know this stuff. I've suspected that I've been readable against good players, but I wasn't sure why. Now I'm figuring out why.

Just bought 'Reading Poker Tells' last night. It sounds interesting.
