its amazing how long ive played poker and this situation still confuses me....

scenario...

one guy bets out 55 on the flop...one guy calls....i make it 200 (raise 145)....now a guy goes all in for 300...the orignal bettor calls 300...next guy folds...action on me.

can i now re open the action and raise?

    Yes, you can re-raise. 55 bet raised to 200 = 145 raise. All in for 300 is a raise of 155 which double your initial raise...

    No. You raised 145 on top, the other guy raises 100 on top (smaller than your raise)

    He needs to make it 345, then you can re-open

    All in for 300 is a raise of 100 (short raise).
