Short pricks limping

I was curious about how you handle this situation.

Even at 2/5 games I get short stackers.

The situation is you have a short stack limper.

You get a hand OTB you would normally steal with that has equity but iso-raising would put you in a real bad SPR post flop vs the short stacker.

Assume 2/5 game
Short limps
You iso-raise 7 6 to $25
Only shorty calls lets say.
POT $50 and shorty has $175 left.

Flop say you bet $30 and get called

Turn pot is now $110 and he has $145 left. You can't really 2x barrel here.
Even if you bet smaller on the flop you still have a situation on the turn.

Folding preflop seems too weak.
Calling?

In the games I play in (2/3, $100-$300) most of the people who buy in short don't understand SPR. They'll call pre with draws, small PPs, sometimes floating Ax, but will fold to the turn bet. I've seen (quite a few) do absolutely silly things like fold with $20 (or less) left in their stack. They're there to win hands, not money.

Although, if only the shorty is the only one who has limped pre, I'd probably fold.

What I have been doing is treating them as a 1/2 limp. I raise 3.5x instead of 3. Then I bet small OTF 1/3psb with my full range. Then I can bet large out with air and if they XRAI I can safely fold. But it keeps SPRs manageable.

I am basically forcing them to play predictable using their own tendencies against them.

So far this is working online.

    Some are fit or fold.
    Some float once.
But generally I leverage to see all 5 cards.

^^ Should have been "They'll call a flop bet with...."
